Born in Slovakia, Lenka, known as Zgung on the Internet, fell in love with movement, when she signed up for dance classes early in her teen years. Although, she never did dance on a professional level and stopped dancing when she was 18, she would dream about dancing for the next 9 years, before she discovered yoga. In the meantime, she finished her studies of Biomedical Physics in Bratislava and moved to Vienna to work in science and continue her studies in the medical physics field.
In 2013, 27 years old, Lenka started to use stretching and a yoga app on her phone, to release tension in her muscles after running. Later, she joined Antigravity Yoga classes and found out how much fun it is to be upside down too.
Three years of mostly home yoga practice, Lenka signed up for her first yoga teacher training with Power Yoga Academy Slovakia, and started to lead regular classes in Vienna.
In 2018, hungry for more education, especially after discovering many amazing international teachers at workshops in Austria and other European cities, she decided to study under Briohny Smyth (US), Dice Iida Klein (US) and Mathieu Boldron (FR) in Thailand and get the 200 hours Yoga Alliance Certification.
Lenka's teaching style is based on Hatha Yoga combined with elements from Vinyasa Flow with lots of arm balancing and inversions. Never truly being hyper-mobile or flexible, she leads her classes with emphasis to physiology and safety, and balances flexibility with the necessary strengthening of the muscles.
