"EMBRACE YOUR FULL SELF AND LIVE WITH FEARLESS AUTHENTICITY.
GIVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND SPACE TO BE A WORK IN PROGRESS."
Animated by the passion and desire to grow, I sat down, took a notebook and a pen and started writing. Pages after pages, on how and why I got into Yoga, on what has kept me practicing since I took my first Ashtanga Yoga class, 2 years ago. At the time, I was a successful project manager in a big luxury company. My parents were proud. I was proud.
But desperately unhappy. After 6 years, I had lost every social interactions. I had lost that sparkle inside my eyes and heart. My mental health and self-confidence were at their lowest point as I could no longer find a purpose to wake up every morning.
I was lost.
And Yoga gave me what no one could give me. Everyday, I started waking up towards one single goal: enrolling my mat, closing my eyes, and letting go.
For more than a year, my only practice was Ashtanga. Repeating the same serie, 3 to 4 times a week, provided me with the safety and rigor I needed in my life. By focusing on the breath on a dynamic rhythm, Ashtanga helped me calming my mind and reaching mental peace. Day after day, I was handling my anxiety and stress with much more control. I was learning the true concepts of non-attachment and let go. The more I was practicing, the stronger my body was becoming; and so my mind.
Today, I am a 29 years old 500H Certified Yoga Teacher. And teaching Yoga has become more than a passion - it is an extension of who I am.
Yoga is not just about moving your body; it's healing. It draws your path towards happiness, it gets you rid of all the superficial layers that envelop your soul. It disconnects you from all the superficial aspects of life and reconnects you to the true You.
Somewhere along the way, you’ll find this thing. This one little thing that will make worth it.
