Hi! Thank you for visiting my profile! I am Martina, an Italian living in Warsaw and I started to practice yoga at the age of 25. Back then, I was writing my master thesis and I had no idea of what yoga was. I was dedicated to something completely different (I graduated in Arabic language and cultures of Asia and Mediterranean Africa) and although I loved very much my studies, I felt always anxious, I had a low self-esteem and I was spending most of my time on the university textbooks. I decided that I needed something different, to break the routine and also to change my mood. I come from a very little village in Italy and, as such, it is not plenty of opportunities to catch during the free time (but the view and the landscape are just marvellous :) ). However, I was lucky enough to find an Iyengar yoga studio. I wanted to try yoga and see if this really helped me cope with my anxiety and stress. It was love at first sight! Well, at the beginning it was not easy, I felt totally "rusty". Every single asana was a struggle but I told myself to keep doing it and be patient for the first results to come. Years later I decided that it was time to bring my practice to another level and this is how I decided to attend a 200-hrs Yoga Teacher Training. I am proudly a Hatha-Vinyasa yoga teacher graduated with Yoga Alliance at Rainbow Light Yoga in Coudures, France. I love every single aspect of yoga: not just asanas and meditation but also the philosophy, the history, the scientific research that proves the benefits of the practice and so on. I am totally absorbed by the process of becoming a better person and yoga teacher, and the beauty of it is in that it will never come to an end. This is yet another reason why I love so much yoga: it is so wide that every single day is an occasion for improving, and this won't ever make me bored.
